REPUBLICA
The Bhattarai-led faction accused Dahal of distorting the facts by saying that there was no difference in theoretical as well as organizational issues between the party establishment and Bhattarai-led group. "Everyone knows that Bhattarai presented seven-point comments clearly explaining his differences with Dahal´s political paper at the national convention in Biratnagar," Khimlal Devkota, who is close to Bhattarai, told Republica. "Similarly, Bhattarai and his team decided not to join the central committee mainly because of the theoretical differences with the chairman´s political line." Devkota said Dahal´s claim that Bhattarai had changed his stance overnight despite having no differences on theoretical and organizational issues was baseless. According to him, Bhattarai has taken serious exception toward Dahal´s tendency of undermining Bhattarai-team´s absence. "The party chairman has not taken the issue seriously even as one of the architects of the 10-year-long people´s war and those comrades, who fought together during the war, aren´t in the central committee," said Devkota. "It shows that he [Dahal] isn´t ready to transform himself and the party and he is leading the party toward its dissolution." Devkota said this after talking to Bhattarai, over telephone in China. Former Prime Minister Bhattarai is currently in China visit for the last | ||
